Who We Are

Each piece of jewelry shown on these pages was handmade by me, Hillary Hoffman. I am eighteen years old and a student at Amherst College. Beading has been a hobby of mine for about ten years, and many of the designs shown are originals. You can find other examples of my work at the Creative Native, a store in my hometown of Berlin, Maryland.

I pride my creations on both their unique nature and their durability.

So What's in a Name?

In Norse mythology, Brisingamen was a necklace beloved by Freya, the goddess of love. Of dwarven craft, the necklace Brisingamen was said to be one of the brightest and most unique pieces of jewelry in existence, symbolizing the stars in the night sky and the undying fertility of the earth.
